Noise pollution

UPPCB Website (https://www.uppcb.com/guide_loud.htm) has following information:

Loudspeaker in the permissible time should not be allowed to use without prior permission of the prescribed authority as mentioned in noise pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules dt. 14.02.2000

What is prescribed authority in Ghaziabad. It says noise levels shouldn't be above 55db which is not more than normal conversation. How can I file a complaint against those who don't comply.

The Police Dept., is the competent authority, to take cognizance of complaints relating to "Noise Pollution", and also for consificating the equipments.

IF the local Police Dept., does not take action on your complaint, THEN file a private criminal complaint in the local Magistrates court, against the noise-maker party, alongwith the Police dept., as respondent.
