Notice pay Calculation

Dear Seniors

I am into a ITES sectors covered under TN Shops & Establishments Act.

Pl advise me whether Notice pay to be calculated based on the Gross Pay or from Basic + DA alone is Okay?

Dear Mr. Tripathi,

But notice period condition is governed by contract of empoyment between employee & employer. According to me it can be Gross or CTC also. Will u please throw more light on this topic. I also request other forum members to give valuable advice on this sublect.

Dear Mr. Balamurali,

It varies company to company as per their terms and conditions of employment. No act fixed about notice period unless until in the Standing orders certified by the employees.
