Notice period for pre probation is 30 days.
An employee in Training/Probation is not confirmed until the language in appointment letter/contract of employment.................................states after................................days/months.........................employee shall be confirmed or employer issues confirmation of service in writing.
IT has already been pointed out as per Model Standing Orders notice period during probation period is NIL..................................................ALSO for the period you have worked i.e. < 2months Notice period is Shops and Establishments Act of all states notice period is NIL.
Compile all points and resolve in your favor.
If you are unable to resolve on your own approach a Labor Consultant/Service lawyer at your location in person....................................and retain access to a lawyer.
Even private bank employees are members of employees unions.The leaders know precise ways to handle such issues......................and drill sense into the heads.
