Objections not filed

I am the respondent in a suit.  I filed an IA during the proceedings.  The judge gave a date for the plaintiff to file objections as a last chance.  The plaintiff did not file objections on that date.  He asked for more time.  The judge refused to give more time and recorded "Objections taken as not filed" in the order sheet and posted the case for arguments.

Can I ask that the IA be allowed since no objections were filed, or should I argue my case after which the plaintiff will reply?

Thanks in advance for an answer.
