Original agreement of sale document lost

Hi,

We had a 1RK Flat in Borivali East area of Mumbai, I had lost my original agreement of sale document. Stamp Duty of Rs.1900 was paid in 1992 when the flat was bought but was not registered as at that time registration was not a compulsion. Now currently i have the stamp duty receipt, society share certificate and a xerox copy of the original document with last page missing. Can i get the duplicate copy from any government office or if i have to make the agreement again what steps or procedures i need to undergo. Flat is in my grandmother's name, will also need to transfer in my father's name.

You can get copy from government office only if the document was registered.

Local counsels can help you in completing the entire formalities.

If the document was registered you can get certified copy of this agreement from government office only (Registrar Office).
