Permanent alimony

Hi Sir,

I am regularly paying maintenence of Amount 25,000/- since Jan 2013 towards wife/child maintenence.

And already given 20Lacs till now in form on monthly maintenence.

Now, wife has filed application under section 25 for permanent alimony to grab hefty amount of 30Lacs.

May I know whethet her application will stand in front of law as she is coming after 8 years to get the permanent alimony and after getting 20 Lacs.

It will be a gross injustice to me if her application is allowed by the higb court.

She should have come earlier for the permanent alimony.

Please advise what can i do now.

Thanks

If Your child has completed 18yrs it has not entitled for maintenance unless they fulfil certain grounds to continue maintenance. You file objections to your wife petition by engaging advocate.

You can file objection. Let the court decide.
