You may ask the branch manager to readjust the loan as  it is an unsecured loan. Since you have paid 13 installments and facing some financial problems, you may ask him to give some moritorium period or increase the tenure of the loan and reduce the EMI. Even if they initiate case for recovery it would happen overnight. it will take sometime.

For harassment if any, by recovery agents Go thru;

According to RBI guidelines, before sending a recovery agent, the bank is supposed to send you a letter with a picture, name and phone number of the agent.. The agent is also supposed to carry a copy of the letter when he comes.

NBFCs also have been asked to constitute a grievance redressal machinery

If you have borrowed you ought to pay.

You may explain the difficulties and ask for time as suitable to you and decide with lender.

Transact with lender under proper acknowledgment.

If you are unable to handle on your own lean on a very able senior LOCAL counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in consumer matters and having a successful track record….and worth his/her salt.

Check for such counsel at LOCAL Consumer Forum, Courts complex…
