Four months after marriage i had to leave my husband's house because of mental cruelty. i filed for maintenance and was granted 10000 rs per month. my husband who is a flourishing businessman filed a case in High Court last year that he cannot pay that amount. the case is still going on in the high court, though there are no summons yet in my name.
now i have filed against him and his parents a case of mental cruelity (DV) the first hearing is in july. i want to go for a settlement and take a divorce. if my husband doesnt turn up for the first hearing what will happen?
i am already 35 years old and want to remarry. can someone advice me please.
