Please answer on validity of stay

I obtained exemption from personal appearance and interim stay from HC in a (pvt Complaint case of 498A), till 08.01.2014.After this date, nothing much happened and my advocate says nothing to worry and the stay is extended by default and still valid. Is this correct and if not, please advise next course of action.

What is the stay on? Personal exemption can be sought by you permanently from the trial court as well. However in case if not done properly, the same will lead to NBW's being issued against you
