Please explain

I read somewhere that DV act is quasi criminal case.

Is quasi criminal means with some elements of civil law???

Civil law is basic foundation for all cases while DV is involved it comes to Qusi civil fact.

Dv case is a civil case but if you are not abiding to any order granted by the court then it becomes criminal

So, to understand can we say that "quasi criminal law means which has some elements of civil law but if we don't obey them then the court has power to punish like criminal case"

It is called quasi judicial only summon is issued throu PolicE Station if there are no Protetction officer

It is not a criminal case. necause you do not hv to attend, i.e. your attenadnce is not a must

your lawyer can represent you and take the steps timely

NO: firstly, respondent is not an accused until he violate the court's order and only after the breach of court's order the respondent is termed as an accused. Procedings under pwdva is rather a quasi civil nature.
