I HAVE PURCHASE ONE PROPERTY 3 YEARS BACK. PREVIOUS OWNER HAS GIVEN TITLE CLEAR ADVERTISEMENT IN NEWSPAPER. NO OBJECTION WAS RECEIVED AND TITLE CLEAR CERTIFICATE WAS ISSUED AND I GOT SALE DEED REGISTERED IN MY FAVOR. NOW I RECEIVED A CALL FROM POLICE STATION THAT ONE THIRD PARTY HAS FILED AN APPLICATION FOR COMPLAINT THAT PREVIOUS OWNER HAS ENTERED INTO AGREEMENT TO SELL ON RS 100 STAMP PAPER AND WHICH WAS LATER ON CANCELLED. BUT THIS THIRD PARTY WHICH IS NOT KNOWN TO ME HAS PUT AN ALLEGATION THAT PREVIOUS OWNER HAS NOT GIVEN MONEY TO HIM AGAINST CANCELLATION OF AGREEMENT. THIS APPLICATION WAS GIVEN 6 MONTHS BACK TO POLICE BUT POLICE HAS DONE NOTHING AND NOW THIS THIRD HAS GOT AN ORDER FROM HIGH COURT WHICH DIRECTS THE POLICE TO SEE HIS COMPLAINT WHETHER ANY COGNIZANCE CAN BE TAKEN ON THIS COMPLAINT. IF NOT, THIRD PARTY SHOULD BE INFORMED IN WRITING. NOW POLICE IS TELLING TO RECORD MY STATEMENT AND HE IS THREATENING ME TO RECORD THE STATEMENT AS THEY SAY. FIR IS NOT REGISTERED TILL DATE. I DON'T KNOW THIS THIRD PARTY, I HAVE NOTHING TO DO. WHAT LEGAL ACTION I CAN TAKE.

You cannot stop another person from filing cases against you. Face the compalint filed by third party or you will be loosing property. Please appoint advocate to fight out the case. Take all the relevant documents with you and discuss the case in details with Advocate.

The Questioner needn't worry.     The Questioner has Registered Sale Deed.     The third party has a mere Sale Agreement unregistered.      The seller is responsible for the third pary.      Not the Questioner.
