Podi durasti

Good Evening Legal Team,

We had lost around 60 acres of land for irrigation purpose in out skirts of bangalore. As a compensation government granted 2 and half acres land. We have original grant certificate and all revenue records in our name. This granted land measurement is not proper, some people have 3 acres and some have 2 acres. We had requested Tahsildar of concerned area to do podi durasti (land measurement) but Tahsildar is not doing that saying they don't have copy of granted land with them. Now my question is how to do podi durasti? Pls advise .

Regards,

Manjunath.

First file RTI Application to SPIO of Tehasildar office seeking information on the process adopted for giving 2 1/2 acres of land in lieu of acquired 60 acres and certified copies of each and every document available in the file.  Also file separate RTI Application (Second) seeking information as to procedure for redressal of grievance in case of adequate compensation is not paid by Govt. while acquiring.

If you have some proof of documents protect them and provide such copies to Tehasildar and demand for such compensation.  Engage private surveyors (Now every activity is digitalized) and submit such measurements with your representation for higher compensation.
