Police visualization

Readers, Compulsorily, Visualize this scenario, within your mind.

_____________________________________________________________

You have been assigned the responsibility of maintaining law and order.

One complainant says his wife is missing.

Another woman says this complainant is her neighbor and he raped her and his wife ran away with her husband.

When you are listening to this, there is a phone call to say that there is a dead body near the lake.

Suddenly, there is an announcement over the wireless that the minister is passing by and the streets need high security arrangement.

As you are busy with these, a complainant walks in and shouts at you and says you are USELESS and that he will bring his DGP uncle to transfer you to a remote place.

When you are handling this, a woman walks in and says her mobile was stolen.

Same moment, an advocate walks in along with ten other advocates and ELEVEN ADVOCATES shoot questions at you simultaneously asking the section of the law that you invoked to register the FIR.

As you are speaking to them, a person walks in with heavy bleeding due to a stab injury and that the hospital is refusing to admit him.

Around the same time, the advocates speak to the bar council member and a phone call from him to the Inspector and from the ACP to the Inspector and from the minister to the DCP and all of them are pouncing upon you.

As you are listening to this, the media journalist calls you over phone and asks you to go soft on a particular chain thief. If you tell him to mind his business, the next day a negative report about you, is splashed across all the newspapers.

Next day, you are suspended.

Now, dear reader, you tell me, in such a scenario, what will you do ?

You cannot even go mad, since your son is waiting for you to pay his school fee and your wife needs money to buy provisions and you have to take care of your family.

Now, what will you do ?

Dear Readers and Members,

This is one day for a Police at the Station.

You calculate 365 days in a year ( Police Station has to remain open all 24 hours and throughout the year.  No Holiday. ) and you calculate the stress and strain and frustration.

Traffic Police is yet another similar story.

Will you not get frustrated ?

Constabulary and right upto the sub-inspector – Allotted poorly maintained staff quarters.

Inspectors usually rent out or own houses with sufficient re-imbursement.

Senior Police Officers allotted Officers’ Quarters with all amenities.

But by and large, the salary when compared to the lengthy working hours and poor facilities and a whole lot of other issues, mainly psychological ( since they deal everyday with citizens from all walks of life, from a pimp to a reputed citizen, they have to interact with all and have NO CHOICE like the advocates do, to reject meeting a person ) and all the factors combine to give them an inner frustration.

Will you not get frustrated ?

So, dear readers and members, in such a place amidst such a work-force and work-conditions and atmosphere, If you raise your voice there at the police station, they would only be too very happy to shower you with their piled up frustration.

So, be wise.

How to be wise at the Police Station ?

Let us see, in the next post.
