Bride can execute power of attorney in favour of her father for participate the divorce proceedings on her behalf.
M V Gupta (Advocate) 15 July 2021
Divorce proceedings are higly personal involving incidents that took place in the married life of parties, which are exclusively in the peronal knowledge of the parties.. These can be vouched only by the bride or the groom. No other person can do it on their behalf. Hence in my view such POA cannot be given. So far as personal presence on each adjournment is concrned the bride can apply for exemption for justifiable grounds through her advocate. But her presence is must on days of trial.

Any thing can be done by the groom to bring the bride in the court? For discussion
P. Venu (Advocate) 15 July 2021
What are the circumstances in ensuring the presence of the wife? Anyhow, PoA cannot depose on aspect which is in the personal knowledge of the principal.
