Property in dispute on rent?

Hello,

Currently, my friend is fighting a divorce case which is currently going on. My friend has a residential property wich is co-owned by his so called wife. The other party has taken an undertaking from him that he will not create a third party in the property. What does that mean? Does it mean that my friend can't let out the property till the case goes on?

It means your friend cannot alienate or transfer or sell or create any encumbrance or transact with the property in any manner until disposal of the pending case as per undertaking given.

@Kalaiselvan..how about my friend giving the property on leave and license.

Does it compromise the rights of the other party?
