Property on rent(paghri system)

respected all concerns,

my father has a shop on rent through paghri system since last 16 years.but now our landlord has sold his building to the new owner, and the new landlord is forcing us to do the registry otherwise he is scaring us that he will increase the rent to some xxxxxx amount..please sugest me that is there any law through which he can justify his wrong doings....
