Our organization has deposited cheque for Rs. 119076.00 drawn on Axis Bank Limited towards PF contributions for the month of April 2012 on 18.05.2012 with the Bank. We were intimated by the Bank on 23.05.2012 that this cheque was dishonored against. Hence, a fresh cheque dated 24.05.2012 for Rs. 119076.00 drawn on Axis Bank Limited for the same month i.e. April, 2012 was deposited with the Bank on 25.05.2012 which was debited to us on 30.05.2012.
Later on, the above dishonored cheque was also debited to us against on 18.06.2012.
Due to the above error on the part of Bank, two said cheques were debited to us towards the contributions for the month of April, 2012.
Please guide as we have given several reminder to Department but till now no further action has been taken by them.
