Public drinking and upsc police verification

Hi Sir

3 years back i was caught drinking in public in Delhi. Police took me for breath test at hospital and later was asked to appear in district court delhi (evening) . When i visited the court next day the judge asked to pay Rs. 200 fine and was let go.

My question is whether this will proove to be a problem during UPSC Post exam police verification?

Is a fine in court comes under criminal offence?

Will it be in the records of my police station?

And finally will i be debarred from given appointment.

There would not be any problem for the offence, which is petty in nature.

The offenc eis petty in which you are convicted.

Sir thanks for taking out your valuable time and replying on the thread. One question whether these offences have records in the judicial and police system ? and when to fill the self attested character certificate my mentioning of this would hamper my chance of getting the job and is it worth mentioning? Your guidance regarding it will help me focussing beter on my studies with a relax state of mind.

when one is arrested and called ipon to be available in court (or produced by poice) and then fined. The matter is most likely expected to be in police record. In any case you are not at liberty to hide facts and enter in service.

So Sir will i be debarred from giving appointment in service by DOPT?
