Purchase of self aquired property

 i intend to purcahse property by a lady who has auired it on her own earned money. She has a son of 6 yeaars age and also hes husband. They are muslims and are living separately. I was told that since it is a self acquired property, the signature of her husband is not required for selling. Please sujjest.

you are right. she is free to sell her self acquired property.

it is a self acquired property of her so she sale this property to u and no necessary to sign her husband..

Every woman is an absolute owner of the the property whatever the source of auisition as it treated as SHTREEDHAN.she can dispose it anyway.

I differ to all the opinion given above. Probably the term 'muslim' was ignored by repliers.

 

In Islamic law there is no difference in inherited property and self acquired property.As a general rule husband gets double the share of the wife.

 

I am providing with the details of distribution according to mohammadon law in the attached file.

 

Kindly,get in touch with a local lawyer who has exclusive knowledge about muslim laws. I don't know every facts and cases of muslims personal laws,therefore,my reply is restricted by my knowledge in this area
