Query on leave & license flat in mumbai

Can a tenant claim  your Flat as his own property (say after staying in it for 10 years or so) under a leave and license agreement"?  What is the maximum period one can make L&L Agreement for a Flat in Mumbai ?

The answer is 'NO'. A tenant can never claim ownership on the property based on his tenancy rights. There is no definite period specified in law for a leave or license agreement, but law makes it compulsary for the registration of a lease agreement , if the tenancy period is more than a year. Pl file a suit for eviction against the tenant.
