Rcr agst. wife

I have filed RCR agst. my wife who is Srilankan nationality and she is now at Sri Lanka. The notice sent to her to appear in Pondicherry Court where I live. Is she has to find Lawyer for the case and appear before the court or she can directly come to my house without attending the court. What happens if she doesn't come to the court and how long the court will wait for her reply. Kindly advise.

why you file RCR? It's only wastage of time and money. If your wife don't want to live with you then go MCD. Find someone else. If she is not willing to live with you then no court no law can force her to live with you. Anyway its your life. If she wants to contest your RCR she will find lawyer and appear in court. In case she dnt come court decision will become ex-party.

My lawyer suggested to go for RCR instead of Divorce directly. How long or how many times the court will give her chance to appear. In case if she is appearing and contesting agst me can I file a divorce without finalising RCR?
