Recovery of possession

I rented my flat @30000/-pm on 11 month agreement in June, 2014, but never got time to renew the agreement. I am receiving rent regularly in my Bank Account. In Jan 2021, I wanted to increase rent and renew agreement but tenant has denied for increase and renewal. Now I want my flat back in my possession. What is the best legal remedy to receive the possession of my flat at the earliest. Please advice.

Hello,

You have to take legal action against the tenant. Send legal notice and later on file petition for eviction in civil court.

Hi Rupinder,

The best I would suggest is that you inform them (tenant) about the dificulties you are facing and want to increase the rent and being the property owner you have the right to increase the rent or ask the tenant to vacate the property within the stipulated time. in case, your tenant are still not ready to do either of it, then you can go ahead and send them a legal notice either to pay the increased rent or to vacate the said property.

Only the solution is send legal notice and subsequently initiate the case
