'Buyer Beware' applies to property deals.

It shall be appropriate to get proper legal opinion from a very able local senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in revenue/property/civil/DRT matters before signing or making payment.

This may cost some FEE but can defend long term interest and hard earned monies.

The same should be observed for land transfer/mutations/Gift in such matters…

What is illegal; allotment to refugees or Gift of such land?

The Grandmother as in query is Paternal or Maternal?

Who is original allotee ; Grandmother as in query?

Is she alive?

Do you have rules pertaining to allotment?

If yes; attach a copy or post weblink…or go thru these…

The revenue official that has to update the mutations records could also have updated you on the reasons for transaction being illegal.

What is the reason informed to you?

It shall be appropriate to get proper legal opinion from a very able local senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in revenue/ civil matters well versed with LOCAL revenue codes/laws/laws and such allotment for a considered opinion …

Such counsel can update you on merits and time as well if there are merits…
