Redevelopment of housing cooperative society

Hello Sir. 

My Housing Cooperative Society in Maharashtra is planning to undergo redevelopment soon. The Buider developer agreed to give every flat owners 100 sf. ft extra space. but opposed giving shop owners extra space. I'm yet to meet the builder as I'm out of state. but my question is does not the shopowners have extra right to demand as they are entitled extra tax? 

Please suggest me how to go as I'm planning to meet the builder(developer) soon.
