Hi, I belong to West Bengal. I was married in December, 2011. It was not going good couple of months before our marriage and couple of months after our marriage. We were facing lots of issues regarding adjustment. I intimated the same to her mom before our marriage. I was replied with the ans that it will be good after marriage. I told one blind fact before my marriage that, I will not marry any girl(whatever educated she is or whatever good looking she is) if she doesn't want to take care of my parents and doesn't want to stay with my parents. This is because I am only son from that poor family and whatever I am today that is because of them. She agreed at that time. Now she doesn't want to stay with my parents. They insult my parents and me from all respect. It is giving me an impression that they want me to be separated from my parents. She wants me not to talk to them which is not at all possible for me. I can't leave my parents for anything. In this situation we face lots of issues to stay together. I protest them when they insult my parents. I protest their attitude to separate me from my parents. Then situation becomes very bad. She just tells me that she doesn't want to stay with me. She(lots of time) and her mom(once) asked me for divorce lots of time. I ignored few times. Now I am also fed up with this. This time also I was protesting against insult. Later on her father called my father and told that his daughter is mentally tortured and they seek to have mutual divorce. Please suggest me at this situation what should I do? Are they trying to push us in a trap by saying his daughter is mentally tortured? In india law supports women even though they are the main culprit. Because of this reason I am very much worried at this situation. If I agree with them on mutual divorce, what are the possible challenges I could face?
