My name is Srinithya. I have a question regarding my Ancesteral property.
My mother comes from a Joint Family. Her family consists of 5brothers & 4ladies. The property belongs my Mother's Grandfather''s. Till date my Uncles have not given any share of property (money) to my mother nor my mother has signed any documents for selling. All their (uncles & aunts) marriage's & common expenses are shared from the property among my uncles itself. Now my grandfather passed away. My uncles got in touch with my mom and want her to sign a release deed by taking Rs.2lakhs. They are not ready to divulge what is the remain property or what amount they are expecting from selling it.
My Question is sir, Can they sell the property without my mother's signature? Has the release deed should be signed only in the registar office? Can they forge the sign of my mother in the release deed?
