Reserving orders/judgment

Once a court reserves the judgment and adjourns, can the Court have a hearing on its own without a request from either party

Yes, is the answer. But what is the context for this query?

The court can reopen and direct the parties to clarify any issues that needs proper scrutinisation by court before pronouncing judgment.

Hence the court may ask clarification and adjourn the case for that

When the Court held its last hearing, it recorded that oredrs reserved. Yet when our lawyer brought to the notice of the Court the long delay (more than 3.5 months) in the pronouncing of the orders, the Court held another hearing with the opposing lawyer present. Question was whether he was right in doing so without any such request from either party.

Generally no further hearing will be there in a case where it is reserved for judgment /order.
