shrikant v. sathe (retired)     21 August 2010

retirement at the age of 55

We are some 25 officers in janata sahakari bank ltd pune whose age of retirement was 58.The standing order contains the age as 55+ 3 years extension.for award staff. By a special resolution bank had extended retirement for officer cadre as 58,[hitherto no offcer was retired at the age of 55] by virtue of this every  officer was retireing at the age of 58,till 2002,Abruptly bank had passed a resolution in 2003 that officers age of retirement will be at par as award staff.,the three years extension was also removed for all staff. The standing orders were not registered. In 2009 bank had  declared that those who were retired from1/4/2009 will be taken back on contract basis on half salary contract amount .In 2010 bank again made a change and three years extension wasgranted to all staff including officers, hence the age of retirement is 55 + 3 years extension getting full pay.So our problem is that those officers who were retired form 2003 to 30/3/2209 were suffered heavy monetory loss. What remedy have we to be taken in this respect ?.Shall we collectively lodege a legal case or separately lodge it? Please guide us We have not been informed about retirement age in service terms and conditions.
