Right of Tenant and compensation

As a tenant we are facing problem of water leakagw & seepage from the above flat. Last 6 months the above flat owners have delayed repair work and have recently started refurbishing work using drill hammer due to which water leakage from ceiling increased and i slupped on this water and broke my knee cap an had to get surgery sone and going thry painful slow recovery since 45 days. I have made written complaint and also asked for compensation of my hospital bill as well damage to my ceilung. The xomplaint has been made to police station as well as local municipality office. Its over 10 days but there is no actuon from them. Can you pl help and advice a medically retired heart n bp patient what to do to get justice and compensatuon. Thanks n Regards
