Rti to get pledged gold details from bank

Dear Friends,

Can I file RTI to Canara Bank to get details of gold pledged by my father in law? They claim that gold with me and wanted to return it soon. They sent a legal notice. Wife and me are separated for last one year. They now filed a Maintenance case. How I can defend their arguments collecting the details of gold pledged in bank?

Yes you can very well go ahead and secure the evidence once you get the information and challenge the case accordingly when it comes for hearing.

bank can deny information held in fiducuary capacity.  so RTI will be of no use.

let bank be summoned before court with such details as necessary.

no, you can not obtain any information from bank under RTI of other persons without his concern, if you want any information you can approach to bank with his concern u/s 11 of the act
