The DM must be terminated rather suspension. This is gross violation of human rights. The cardinal principles of Criminal Jurisprudence is that no one allowed to take law in his own hand except procedure established by law. Punishment provision is there for wrongdoers. How can DM behave like this, which is not acceptable in civilized society. Training must be imparted to the DM.....No person has the right to humiliate others. Human being love his reputation, name, fame more than his life and love of reputation inspires him to do great things in life........ which is the main spring of life...

From my point of view... he is dispersed unlawful assembly which Police dare not to to do... If DM was a man of corrupt kind of person who always tried pleased rich politician... he will simply look it away and neglect complaint

The reason he acted rude because he already informed the local police to go and stop the marriage at that function hall and told them they can continue their marriage at their home with veryfew people. But police won't listened to DM they won't expected that he'll come into action. He also received Many calls from other people about that huge gathering so, DM sir got anger. Beacuse they won't paid attention to orders. And in that video we can see the people who attended marriage were not maintaning social distancing and few with no mask. As a DM he should follow orders and he did it. In my personal opinion he done no wrong.

poor people can't go against the DM because the every superior persons are ready to help him even the DM is wrong person or misbehaved with public.this is the worst behaviour to public by senior administrator with misusing the administrative power. Government should must take action against the stupid DM, and should have give the justice to all the persons those who were attended in the marriage party......

Respected DM Sir has acted in public interest. He was implementing a Government order. He should be appreciated and encouraged in strict implementation of Government orders. The marriage party should have concluded by 9.30 pm atleast half an hour early than the permitted time limit. 

To my knowledge, the DM has already apologised. Any departmental action is unlikely.  However, there is nothing that prevents the affected persons initiating a civil action claiming damages.

The DM in Tripura acted the way he acted to safeguard the safety of the public at large. There were already orders by the Government prohibiting any function after a certain time. In complete disregard to such orders if people assemble and behave it as a matter of right to infect each other, what a Government Official can do? Plead with them and tell them politely. Will they listen if told to disperse in a very polite manner. Every one of them would have pulled out and dropped many names of the big people they know or pretend to be knowing. The DM had to act the way as shown in the video for required effect and he could get the effect of dispersing the people peacefully.

In my opinion, the action taken by DM Tripura ws inevitable and essential in the given situation.

Any action that may be proposed to be taken against him for this act may not be justified.

He has not done such acts on any previous enmity against the gathering.

He  had acted in the interest  of general public with good intention to stop the spread of current pandemic.

Therefore it would not be an act prudency to criticize or  find fault on his acts.

This is purely my own opinion.

 

Now that DM is kept under suspension as a formality, the inquiry may bring out violations if any and at the most, he may receive a reprimand to satisfy the public.  The thread may be treated as closed.
