Salary details inquired by police

hi,

     Police has sent notice where they have mentioned have cases on Me DV,498A & 313 to my company to get to know my salary details. Has police is authroize to get such details & how can I stop such things. Please help me

Thanks Deepak for the info, it will grate help where same has been mentioned as in doc, same can be show in company so they can be stop to provide my personal details.......
