Salary pending

Sir my question is that our salary is pending to the contractor since 6 months and contractor earlier not submitting our pf amount for 1 year but now he is submitting pf amount from our 2 months salary and on asking for our salary he is replying that he will not pay our two months salary because he has submitted it as PF amount on our EPF account. Still our salary is on hold .

Please give an advice for proper regulation of salary matter as the contractor and employer are not listening our plea .

Your lawyer may opine that you can approach;

Inspector Under Payment of Wages Act: if your wages were upto Rs.18000/pm as per def. of wages in the Act, within 1year……………….

Inspector Under (Name of your state) Shops and Commercial Establishments Act
