SRO.

Usual Procedure: Lodge FIR, release in two newspaper and apply for duplicate/Certified copy.

Saurabh u can go to the concern SRO where the document is registered.

Give them application for the " Certified copies of that document".

Then give police complaint about the lost document and FIR registered.

Then give Public notice in local news paper for lost property document and request for submitting to you.

thanks mr Doab for the answer just wannna ask duplicate will be same and which office will issue the same whether i have to give details to them

You have posted in your 1st query that:"sale deed lost"

So the owner can apply for certified copy.

If you are agent and power is vested by POA then you may also succed to apply and get a copy.

File a Complaint with Juristioinal Police station get a CSR, give a Public Notice in daily News Paper, after two weeks obtain a Non-traceable Certificate from Police then only apply Certified copy with SRO
