Its been more than 50 years that my family is residing on a piece of railways land. Never from the governement or railways side any question has been raised on residing on the land.
It was because of kind heartedness of my grand father, some 20-22 odd people have been also staying for last 15 years and they use to pay rent till year 2005. All these people belong to same place (village) from where we belong to. Now by and by, they stopped paying rent and gradually started claiming on the property. They are not ready to vacate now. Situation has become more complex as they refused to sign rent agreement this year when after a gap of 5 years i told them to sign the agreement again. They involved a local MLA in all these issues. MLA is also against the signing of rent agreement and they say, after completion of agreement where they will go.
Now going through these things my mother and father are in a state of shock as they never expected this from their own kins. Biggest problem in all this is that, my grand father and later my father never bothered to get the land registered. So they dont have a registry paper. Is there any solution to this? Can me and my family be saved from this exploitation? Any suggestion will be of great help.
