Sec 138 (b) ni act

What does proviso (b) of the sec 138 imply?

Does it mean that the notice of demand shall be recieved by the drawer within 30 days of making such demand? Please cite relevant judegements.

dear member

it only means that the holder of the cheque shall send a notice to the drawyer of the cheque within 30 days of the intimation of cheque bounce from bank.

the drawyer has further 15 days either to reply or to make the payment. if there is no reply or payment, the private complaint will have to be filed within 30 days from the date of closure of the 15 days time.

our learned adv friends may please clarify further.
