Sexual harassment at workplace

Hi, This is regarding slander and s*xual harassment at work place. A colleague is spreading rumors about my friend stating that she sleeps with clients for business and with seniors to jump the ladder. Due to this reason, it is very humiliating for the colleague to stay at the work place. Although she has complained to the HR, she wants to take a firm action against him. Is there a legal way? There is one witness that would confirm the same but no written libel.

if you have a witness with you and he is ready to give his statement in favour to her and recognised the accused then file a criminal case u/s 509ipc & 354 ipc, against him.

First you file a complaint against the suspected person stating the facts and in the body of the complaint do not forget to include that the suspected person's character, behavior and attitude towards all female employees have been notably worst and undesirable.  Bell the cat, let us see how many people will listen to ring sound.  This way you can save your image, respect, reputation etc, but please exhaust the remedy at your office in the first place and then if not satisfied with the action taken you can proceed further as per law.
