I have purchased a shop in a registered society in Maharashtra , The person from whom i purchased is the registered second owner of the shop. He does not have the original share certificate with him. He has been paying the society maintenance from the time he purchased the shop .What i came to know is he has not applied for transfer in his name after purchase,now he want to do the same since i want to have my name included in the society records and also get share transferred in my name and the first owner is not traceable.
What procedure should i follow to transfer the share certificate in my name?
