Slum rehabilitation(sra) property registration

Hi ,

I will be very thankfull if you can help on on below urgent matter.

My problem is , i property documents are misplaced.

-1 yr back i purchased a home which is SRA property.so the owner has transfered this property to my name.

-I came to know that SRA properties(transfered property) registration can not be done in registration office till 10 years.

--However i have only 1 xerox copy,which states that this property is transfered from xyz person to me on date,with cheq no details.

-I dont have original copies.

Can you please help me to know from where i can get original copies?,any office?

Please help me it is very important to get electricity connection at my home so that i will be identified as whole owner.

you can apply for the certified copies of the property documents at the local sub registrar office and they will issue them to you within 2 or 3 working days.

In my case this property comes under slum rehabilation area hence ,i heard that such type of property can not be registered till next 10 years.

so in such cases from where n how we can get the documents?

Even if SRA property is not registered,details of the property - ie survey no and how the property came to be SRA will be available with the town planning office. Pl see ,if this detail is present in the xerox copy.

Thanks for the answer.

The property is transfered one,however it might be registedred as SRA on the name of original owner.

Please let me know how to apply in SRA and is it possible to get the original documents which are on my name though the property is registered with the original owners name?
