In our registered society in Maharashtra Pune due to some members who were managing committee expired due to old age and after that all work of society was discontinued , and no records were maintained ,and now as our society is going in for Redevelopment we want to revive the society ie elect chairman secretary treasurer and open bank account so ( 1 ) how do we revive society general body ie by holding elections directly or and after electing do we have to inform society registrar (2) and is it illegal to enter into redevelopment deed without reviving society committee as all 12 members are ready to sign redevelopment deed without revival of society managing committee ie general body We have in all total 12 flats .ie 12 members Kindly reply Thanks

Contact the Sub-Registrar for getting the laid down norm for reviving of the society or forming a new society with the object of Redevelopment. There may be several such precedents and the SR may guide you. If you do not have much time, you can entrust the work to a professional advocate or engage an experienced clerk to attend several issues connected to society and for coordinating the activities.
