Society's Objection on hole in horizontal pillar

Our flat, which is located in the city of mumbai, has gone into renovation. The electrician has made two small around half inch diameter hole in horizontal pillar/beam for connecting wires of main junction to flat's electric wires We were unaware about the holes The society's committee member has objected against the holes and has ordered to stop the renovation work What is the remedy available to flat owner? Beams and pillars should not be touched as they are providing support and strength to the structure and alternation in these could prove dangerous.

 

if the electrician have cut any iron rod then you need to get it inspected immediately by the architect or structual engineer approved by the municipal corporation so that no problem arises in the future. since it is half inch only, i preseume no damage has been caused to the structure as such. Anyways ask the electrician to install the main box on the wall only.
