Step daughter right on business after father expires

X has a Daughter D thru his Divorced wife,

Later X married Y.

X and Y has 2 children.

X Expired in 2006 leavig behind some property and some cash of Rs 1,00,000/-

Y asked D for Partition, D Refused for partition.

Now (2011) - Y started a business with some 20,000/- and getting profits.

Can D claim share in the business of Y in any manner? Please advise.
