Surname Issues

My name is Gayatri Chitale. I have the following problems with my documents

1) I do not have my 12th Marksheet - Gave it to a college and lost it - I dont remember clearly - I just have a Copy (Attested)

2) I do not have my 10th Marksheet - No copies - dont remember where it is

3) I have 10th School leaving certificate and other documents however the spelling of my name is wrong in those certificates - Instead of CHITALE It says CHTALE

My Dad tried to correct it by doing some copy pasting and then laminated it.

Now i am scared of showing my original school leaving to anyon as there would be questions raised - as my dad managed to erase the original surname and changed it and it clearly shows that alterations havebeen made

What to do ???

can I get a lawyer to notarize it?? can i get it changed??? how do i get it changed?? from where do i get duplicates of my 12th and 10th ...

Gayatri,

You can get an Affidavit from the Notary Public of u'r Locality So u'r Surname can be changed in all purpose.

Hi Gayatri,

Don't be bothered, you can get your original certificate from your respective Board/University. Further, you were not supposed to alter your certificate and the person who has signed it, only he can make changes in that on your written application, if he satisfied to do so. There is no need to notorize the original certificate.

u r dad can b booked for oversmart and forgery. just make affidavit and produce it u r college for duplicate. as per as leaving certificate make affidavit and submit it it for correction to ur school.
