Termination from job on the ground of hiding previous job details...reg.

Sir My friend was working in State Govt. clerical job from Jan2011 to July 2013. He resigned from that service on the ground of illness of his mother.(But the real cause was he got a job in central govt. PSU to which he had not applied through proper channel). The resignation was duly accepted and he was relieved from duty in July 2013. After few days of relieving in July, he joined in the PSU. After 3years of working in PSU, again he is selected for an officer post in the same state govt. But the problem is that during application for the Officer post in State Govt. , he had not shown the previous job details neither in application (through online.) nor during personal interview.(the application was applied in Jan 2014 and the present PSU has rule , not to apply for any outside job with in two years of joining.) Now while filling up the attestation form, the first point (WARNING) contains that - any suppression of material fact may tend to termination from service at any time. Please suggest what should he do now? whether he should mention the previous job details or not.? 1. if he shows the previous job details, is there any chance of termination by the employer because of suppression of material facts? 2. if he does not mention previous job details, there is chance that the govt. may know the previous job details from the PRAN account issued under NPS during the first state govt. clerical Job.

Why this employee resorts to such practices right from the beginning?

It is misconduct and shall be subjected as advertised by the employer.

Everyone tries to get a better job than present. So, he also did this. But the problem occured here is , the present organisation where he is working, has a rule that no one can apply for any outside job with in two years of joining. If he had mentioned the current job details, the present organisation would not have issued NOC during interview, which is already over and the result is published.

From the prespectyive of service rules of next employer also it is misconduct, due to concealment of facts.
