Hi, assuming you mean the website moderators by 'administrators', the task of the latter is, by the very definition of the term, to moderate the content on the website so it's fit to appear on an online, public platform.
This model of 'thanking an answerer' is what's commonly used by other renowned social platforms for academic/general discussions, like Quora, for reasons that are obvious, for instance, it makes possible for a democratic use of the feature without making the members feel that the website is working on the principle of favouritism.

Dear Sir, the forum has been provided the feature of "Like" button whereby any person who is satisfied with the answer or reply of another member conveys his/her thanks to it. As rightfully stated above, the feature is already built in, it is the community members who ask a query or be a part of such threads, who have to realise that they need to get accustomed with the prospect of "liking" an answer apart from thanking the person in a separate comment (which is completely their prerogative). The Administration can not control the behaviour of the members of the community, as is mentioned up there, due to the upholding of basic Democractic features on this forum. Therefore, it should be an appeal to the community members to take note of the option available to thank the consistent members of the community who are trying to share their knowledge with all of us.

The difficulty is a technical problem. The likes sent are not accounted immediately to the account of that member. I have observed several times that there is no change in score of the replying member, even after two likes given to that post. The likes score should change automatically in profile of the member the moment the buton is clicked.

Well, as far as I am aware, the change is automatic. It's probably that the cookies on your web-browser need to be cleared before you refresh the page to see the actual change take place.
