So, I had a case running in civil court and had agreed the fee of 3 lakh with the lawyer and paid 25% of it....when starting the case. We filed many IAs for interim relife but for some or the other reason mostly becase the judge was not present none of he IAs were heard or disposed.
Infact I lost 2 dates becasue of no representation by lawyer, finally I settled the matter in lok addalatwith the counter party now the judgments are with my lawyer he is demanding FULL Fee.
The trail never started...and the settlment was as a result of our mutual understading lawyer did not have any role to play.
What is the standard practice in such cases? I do not want to pay the balance?
The case is marked as disposed can I as a party in person file CA for certified copies?
Please advise.
