Assume a tenant had entered into a 11 month lease agreement with the owner. The owner however issued a notice to the tenant to vacate in 3 months, before the end of the lease period. If the tenant finds a new place the next month itself, can he vacate and forgo the rent for the remaining two months? The agreement only calls for a three month notice period on either side, but is not clear on the obligations of either side once the notice had been issued. Is there some notice period that the tenant has to give in case he vacates earlier? Thanks.
