IF you withdraw main petiton due to some technical reason during maintenance trial or just before IA orders or even after IA is ordered...

and/or to modify the petition based on subsequent happenings, which are favorable to you in future divorce proceedings, her maintenance application has to be resubmitted, as you would have changed the contents of divorce petition.  She shoudl reply to such a petiton and then filie a new application for maintenance, her reply to the old petition and old maintenance application stand as null.

Now it starts from the beginning.

If you have paid any money whatsoever to wife based on her old application, you cannot recover the same from her.
