Is the Bonus Act provides any mode of settlement of unpaid bonus lying in the Company's account. Such bonus arose because of certain non eleigibiloity criteria. What is the sqare up procedure?

The unpaid Bonus amount should be remitted to the local Labour Department with the full details of the Employees particulars.

It becomes “unpaid accumulations” under the local Labour Welfare Fund Act. After certain period, it is required to the deposited in the name of "Welfare Commissioner" of the State through local labour authorities along with details of such unpaid accumulations. This period can vary from one year to three year depending upon the notification made by the State Government. In Punjab, it is one year after which it has to be deposited with the Welfare Commissioner, Punjab.
