whether Limitation be counted from date of acquittal from session court or from the date of order of high court when it finally terminated?

Hello sir (s)
facts:
1. session court acquitted in may 2016
2. OP went high court in appeal
3. High court dismissed appeal in August 2017.
4. Case of civil defamation by false case filed in December 2017.
5. Limitation rule says one year from date of acquittal or from date the case finally terminated.
question is.
whether Limitation of one year be counted from acquittal from session court
or
it be counted from dismissal of OP's appeal in high court, whereafter OP gave up n did not appeal in supreme court?

1. Limitation period would start from date of confirmation of acquittal, by ANY court.

Hello,

In your case limitation would start from the date of a high court order of dismissal of appeal.
